Male scoring

1. Same as in childhood.
2. Enlargement of testes, scrotum.
3. Penis lengthened.
4. Scrotum darkened, penis width increases, glans develops
5. Pubic hair spreads to medial aspect of thighs.

Female scoring

1. Same as in childhood.
2. Breast buds visible.
3. Enlargement of breast, areola.
4. Areola rises above rest of breast.
5. Areola no longer projects from breast.
